Buoyancy

Friends. You meet them for coffee. You chat about your kids. You talk about the economy and Barack Obama. You share stories about your life. And then there's a break in the conversation and you find yourself sharing your personal story of despondency and confusion and you know you are not alone. Their stories become even more personal and the bonds become stronger. Friends can be wonderful as a group and even more special one on one. My friends are holding me up right now. They are treasures in my heart and I carry them with me until we meet again.

Don't take this the wrong way (and I think you might know what I am talking about) but, I find that it is easier to talk to my friends about the economy and Barack Obama, than it is my family... well, certain family members. I guess because all my friends are like me...gay, and they understand why I am interested in what our President can do for this country if you are living a different lifestyle. I do care about Government spending, but there is more to life (mine anyway) than money matters! That is all I will say on this, I will not turn your blog into a forum for arguing. But yes, my FRIENDS are holding me up right now!

I know EXACTLY what you are talking about. My friends are mostly in agreement with my political ideals. Also, I just try to be careful when getting into discussions about religion and politics because I don't want conflict to get in the way of an otherwise good relationship. I kind of regret commenting on Shelby's whatever because I was walking on eggshells!
